About Our Speaker

Laura Hittinger, RDH serves as the Program Director of the Dental Hygiene Program at Parkland College. With a strong commitment to excellence in dental hygiene education, she brings extensive academic preparation and clinical experience to her role.

Laura earned her Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Parkland College, her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from University of Michigan, and her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene from University of Missouri–Kansas City. Her educational background reflects a lifelong dedication to advancing the profession and fostering evidence-based practice.

As Program Director, Laura provides leadership in curriculum development, accreditation standards, clinical instruction, and student mentorship. She is passionate about preparing competent, compassionate dental hygienists who are committed to lifelong learning and community oral health.

Through her work at Parkland, Laura continues to advocate for high-quality dental hygiene education and the advancement of the profession.
